Final Condition of HIV Patients Infected with COVID-19 after Receiving Hospital Treatment: A Systematic Review

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can attack anyone, including those who have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) due to low immune systems. This study aimed evaluate the final condition of people living with virus/acquired deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) (PLWHA) received treatment at hospital. Methods: A literature investigation last three years (2020-2022) were inquired. Electronic databases (Science Direct, Scopus, ProQuest) case series or report designs examined. The titles, abstracts, and full texts screened obtain relevant studies. Data tabulation narrative analysis conducted, resulting in 14 studies that met inclusion criteria. Most them methods. Each had different numbers patients criteria discussing COVID-19 infection HIV patients. Results: total reviewed revealed could recover from if proper treatments performed. Some articles also stated self-isolation home manage HIV-infected are not yet severe. In severe infections, intensive care is performed using supplemental oxygen a ventilator prevent respiratory failure acute distress. Conclusion: worsen appropriately treated. Otherwise, properly performed, it cure infection.
